PLEASE NOTE: CD73 radios will need to be encoded according to your vehicles' sound system. This radio is encoded for the Stereo or HI-FI sound system options. This radio is not compatible (without encoding it first) in a vehicle with the Logic 7 sound system (also known as Top HI-FI or Harman Kardon).

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unsure which sound system your vehicle has it is simple to check yourself: 

- Turn you're original radio on. 
- Press and hold the M button for 15 seconds for service menu.
- Cycle through the service menu until you see DSP. 
- DSP = 0 means you have Stereo or HI-FI system. 
- DSP = 1 means you have the Logic 7 Top HI-FI system. 


PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase a radio with the incorrect encoding you will get no sound output once you install it in your vehicle. This can be fixed by a trip to the dealership to re-code the radio to your vehicles' sound system. This typically costs around $100 at a dealership, we recommend to check your sound system before you purchase so you will not have to re-code it.

PLEASE NOTE: Features such as: bluetooth, HD radio, satellite radio, auxilliary input will typically need to be re-coded to your vehicle at a BMW dealership once you install a replacement radio. Different dealerships charge different prices for this procedure so it is always a good idea to call ahead first.
