This mini disc player is part of MAZDA's modular audio system. This means that if you have a compatible model it can be added to the radio that is already installed in your vehicle. It is assumed that if your radio has an MD or MD/TAPE button that it supports this feature. When installed in the factory there would also be an additional trim panel installed so the disc slot is flush with the radio face, this trim panel will not be included as it is specific to the radio model your putting it in.
