Just what I needed. As mu factory radio CD player stopped loading.

Posted by Rafael A. Rodriguez on 28th Oct 2014

My original Factory radio on my 2007 Ford Escape Limited stooped loading and ejecting CD's and started making a grinding sound and Reading Load Error on the screen. I came upon this website and found this exact replacement and and ordered it. As I took out the original unit all I had to do was to remove the white guiding bracket from back of the original factory radio and place it on the back of this replacement unit. As I have Sirius service since I bought the car each unique connector on the back of the unit was used, and matched the connectors from the car. I plugged the antenna, the subwoofer, the satellite connector and finally the power and speakers (from left to right if you look at the picture of the back of the radio) and after sliding the new radio in I tested the CD player and it worked. I'm happy that my CD is working again and as I like my Escape I might get the unit I removed repaired if possible and get it back as a spare as I guess that within a couple of years these units will become harder to replace.

    Great replacement

Posted by Unknown on 16th Sep 2014

This unit came as advertised. Great shipment packaging to ensure it came delivered without mishaps. I needed a special radio to replace the one I had that went bad. It's for an Escape Limited, a very specific radio. Installed very quickly and sounds fantastic.

    2003 Mercury Maruader Substitute

Posted by Robert Ferrer, Jr. on 26th Jun 2012

I have a 2003 Mercury Marauder and this radio fit right in. All of the plugs lined up, and even the steering wheel controls work. It takes a bit of getting use to the new system, as I am use to the old radio, but it was well worth the upgrade. I think the sound system plays even better, which means that I will soon be replacing my speakers.
