Acura Nav Disc Info
When you order a map update for the GREEN disc, the Device ID, Database Version and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) are used to identify your vehicle. Note: You must order a separate map update for each vehicle you wish to update as map update discs cannot be shared between vehicles.
What are the Navigation System Device ID, Database Version and VIN numbers?
VIN - Every automobile has a unique 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) assigned at the factory that contains information about that vehicle.
DEVICE ID - Each Navigation System has a unique 8 to 16 digit Device ID assigned to it.
DATABASE VERSION - This number refers to the version of the map database that is currently used by your Navigation System.
To locate the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), please look at one of the following:
· At the base of your vehicle's windshield, on the driver's side
· On your vehicle's registration
· On your insurance statement or proof-of-insurance card
· On your financial services statement
· On new owner surveys or customer satisfaction surveys sent by American Honda Motor Co.

You will be able to locate all of these numbers from a single location. Please follow the steps outlined below.
1. Turn on ignition and allow navigation system to complete the start-up sequence.
2. Press the INFO button.
3. Select OTHER on the touch screen.
4. Select SYSTEM/DEVICE INFORMATION on the touch screen.
5. The following information appears; you can print a copy of this page and record the values here:

- Software version __ . __ __ . __ __ __ __ (not required for purchasing map update)

RED/PURPLE NAVIGATION DISC:
To retrieve the Device ID and the Database Version from the navigation unit, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you are on the map screen, then press the INFO button.
2. Push the interface dial/ENTER button to the right to select OTHER.
3. Rotate the interface dial to highlight System/Device Information, then press the ENTER button.
4. The following information appears; you can print a copy of this page and record the values here:
- Database version __ . __ __
- Software version __ . __ __ (not required for purchasing map update)
- Device number __ __ __ __ - __ __ __ __ - __ __ __ __ - __ __ __ __ (16 digits)
5. To exit, press the MAP GUIDE button.
